Datinder S. Deo, MD, Unity Health Network Nephrology, in partnership with OptumLabs, was recently featured in a Columbus-area radio interview.
Dr. Deo joined Clark Donley to help raise awareness about the prevalence, prevention and treatment of kidney disease, a progressive and potentially fatal health condition that affects nearly one in seven American adults.
While anyone can develop this disease, some are at greater risk due to factors such as age, ethnicity, family history and certain medical conditions including diabetes, hypertension and cardiovascular disease.
By educating the public about the prevalence of kidney disease and the importance of regular screening, Unity Health Network and OptumLabs providers can help reduce the number of people who develop serious and long-term kidney health issues.
