Unity Health Network Re-Certified as a Comprehensive Center for Multiple Sclerosis
Aug 29, 2022
Unity Health Network was recently re-certified by the National Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society as a Partner in Care: Comprehensive Center for MS.
Certified Comprehensive Centers for MS address the needs of those living with MS through a coordinated multi-disciplinary team approach – from neurological, psycho-social, rehabilitation, research, and service projects to benefit our MS patients and community.
Since 2011, our MS Center has held this distinction and this re-certification designation reflects Unity Health Network’s continued commitment to provide our MS patients with the highest standards of MS care and treatment.
“Receiving this re-certification demonstrates our unwavering dedication to provide our MS patients with the highest level of MS care,” said Eugenio A. Peluso, Ph.D., Neuropsychology Director, Unity Health Network who also serves as the Co-Chair of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society’s Health Advisory Council for Ohio, Michigan, and Indiana. “We look forward to growing our MS center services for our patients and are proud of the success our program has had over the years, which is grounded in the collaborative work and compassionate care of every member of our dedicated MS center team.”
In addition to the MS Center, Unity Health Network provides comprehensive neurological care to assist patients with consensus diagnosis, treatment, and management of neurological disorders led by our neurological medical director Lawrence Saltis, MD who was recently recognized by Cleveland Magazine’s annual Best Doctors issue in 2022, awarded to physicians who were nominated by their peers across Northeast Ohio for providing high-quality and innovative care.
